In the period from February 21 to February 25, 2020, the annual Maltese Carnival will again be held, which attracts many tourists and foreign performers from around the world. As part of the holiday, a series of recreational activities are planned in different cities of Malta and the island of Gozo.

The upcoming festival has been held since 1535 and is one of the oldest traditions of the Maltese islands. Every year during the carnival, there are dance and song contests, costume processions, fireworks and night parties for residents and visitors of Malta. At this time, all participants in the festival are dressed in luxurious carnival costumes embroidered with gold or decorated with precious stones. The carnival is held most vividly in the capital of Malta - Valletta.
