Georgia will allow citizens of several countries to enter from March 1.

The country will gradually lift restrictions on the Covid-19 pandemic from February 25.

From March 1, citizens of Azerbaijan, Russia, Belarus, Ukraine and Kazakhstan will be able to enter Georgia with a negative coronavirus test. Earlier, Georgia announced that the rules would apply only to citizens of EU countries, and that citizens of several other countries would be required to take the full dose of the vaccine.

Restaurants and shopping centers will be opened in Georgia on March 8, universities and gyms on March 15, and theaters and sports arenas on April 1. At the same time, the traffic restriction rule is still in force except from 9:00 to 17:00.

The Azerbaijani-Georgian border is still closed and there are no direct flights between the two countries.

The Operational Headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers said that there was no new decision on the opening of the borders of Azerbaijan.
